Guidelines for the Authors

If you are interested in publishing an article in the MUNI LAW Working Paper Series, please take note of the following:

  • We only accept submissions that are related to legal discourse and legal disciplines taught at the local Faculty of Law.
  • Preliminary drafts lacking standard formatting (concerning font, line spacing, margins, etc.), proper textual structure (i.e. paragraphs), or sufficient source lists (or footnotes) will not be accepted. The manuscript must be submitted in the form that it will be published.
  • The minimal length requirement of a submission is 10 pages, and submissions must not exceed 50 pages.
  • Submissions must be in either Czech, Slovak, or English.
  • Submissions must include an abstract in English (1200-1500 characters) and approximately five key words in Czech (or Slovak) and English;
  • The manuscript must be submitted in two versions:

a) the full version, which lists the author’s name or otherwise identifies the author

b) the anonymized version (these versions must be otherwise identical);

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in formats that can be opened, read and edited in the common text editors (such as .doc, .docx, .odt, .rtf);
  • Articles must be submitted via email; the author can also send additional information pertaining to the publication of the manuscript via email.
  • The author must specify his/her contact details (i.e. his/her name (including academic titles), vocation, e-mail and phone number).
